Job DescriptionJob Title: Medical DirectorLocation: Alameda, CAType: Direct HireJob Description: Company located in Alameda, CA has an immediate need for a Medical Director for a direct hire position. This position reports to the Chief Medical Officer and will eventually have direct reports. The Medical Director is a member of the Medical Management Department of the health plan, and assists the Chief Medical Officer in developing and implementing clinical policy designed to meet the DHCS triple aim: improving the patient experience of care; improving the health of populations; and reducing the per capita cost of health care. Medical Directors lead one of two distinct areas: Quality Management or Clinical Services (utilization and case/disease management). The Medical Director serves as the liaison to the provider network as well as key county, agency and other community programs on behalf of the health plan.Required Skills:1) Current Doctor of Medicine, active, unrestricted license in the State of California, Board certified.2) Managed care environment, physician group management or integrated health care system management. 3) Experience practicing medicine.4) Supervisory experience.5) MPH and/or MBA strongly preferred.6) Clinical program administration, including utilization management and/or quality management.7) Integrate clinical and financial data for improved management of clinical programs.8) California public health care programs such as Medi-Cal, Department of HealthCare Services and Department of Managed HealthCare.If you would like to learn more about this position and/or are interested in joining our team of consultants, please visit our website at www.quantixinc.com.
